The main construction difference is that the Casper Select features an additional memory foam layer below the top layer. Besides this, their constructions are nearly identical.

Side sleeping, the Casper mattress does feel softer under the shoulders because of the Zoned Support, which makes it a good mattress for side sleepers. The mattress is actually softer in that area, so the pressure relief is quite noticeable.
Can I put a Casper mattress on a regular box spring? A traditional box spring is not designed for foam. It may not provide the flat, even support your Casper needs, and could potentially damage the mattress. For added height and durability, we recommend our foundation instead.
